How Technology Aids in Delivery Management: Handwritten and Automated Waybill Management

Modern technology is infiltrating all areas of our lives. In the field of courier delivery, we are observing a new progressive step — a function for handling handwritten waybills via a mobile app. This is how we, in our courier service automation system, are streamlining the record-keeping process.

So what is this function and how does it work? Imagine a typical day of a courier. They arrive at a client to pick up a cargo and receive a handwritten waybill. At this point, the exciting things start.

The courier simply takes out their smartphone, opens our mobile app, and takes a photo of this waybill. And that's it — nothing else is required of them! While they are en route with their cargo to the warehouse, our system is already at work.

The system automatically sends the photo of the waybill to an operator, who, in turn, enters the information from it into the system. Thus, when the courier arrives at the warehouse, information about their cargo is already there. Speed, efficiency, and accuracy - this is what this simple but ingenious method of information processing provides.

This approach has several clear advantages. Firstly, it simplifies the courier's work — they no longer need to fill out numerous forms; everything is done automatically. Secondly, it speeds up cargo processing — information about them appears in the system much faster. Thirdly, it minimizes the chance of errors related to manual data entry.

Our clients have already noted the effectiveness of this approach. They say that thanks to this function, their couriers can process more cargos in less time. Plus, it reduces the likelihood of losing or confusing cargos, as information about each of them instantly enters the system.

We are delighted to see how our system facilitates the delivery management process and helps courier services become more efficient and organized. After all, our goal is to make the couriers' work easier and more enjoyable, and their service — more qualitative and reliable.

As you can see, progress is not standing still, and we, in turn, are constantly improving our system to stay at the forefront of this progress. Stay tuned — there is still a lot of interesting things ahead!
